Amy, from Ohio, had a very beautiful, classy Bridal Bouquet and I loved preserving it!

White Lillies, Lavendar Roses, Hydrangea, etc.

This bouquet presented a few challenges, namely, UPS did not get it to me overnight express, as promised and as the customer paid for. So, many of the flowers had to be replaced with new flowers. UPS made good on the damage, and I am happy with the results!

Pink Hydrangea and White Hydrangea

This 8x10 has some beautiful hydrangea around the wedding invitation.
Hydrangea always press nicely. These hydrangea were spray painted,
which made them stick to the press, but I was able to salvage enough
to put together a nice picture for this Indiana bride!

Three Shades of Pink Roses & Pink Hydrangea

This piece was made for a fellow "Flower Presser" friend of mine.
Her son was married a year ago, so for an anniversary present,
I was asked to replicate the bouquet his bride carried in their wedding!

Wearable Pressed Flower Art!

These pressed flower necklace charms were a blast to make! I will be offering these to my floral preservation customers. I am thinking brides might like having a necklace made from petals gleaned from her bridal bouquet. Funeral flower customers might also like an heirloom momento made from their flowers. I am toying with the idea of opening a "Store" on my website and offering these.

If anyone has an opinion or idea, please share! Do you think these would sell?

Natalie - Daisey's & Blue Painted Baby's Breath

Natalie from Indiana carried this beautiful fresh Daisey Bridal Bouquet,
which was really fun to preserve.  I probably receive the most compliments on this art!

Bridal Bouquet of Mixed Desert & Jungle Flowers

Thanks Tara, my Ohio Florist Friend!
This one was a challenge, but I learned so much!

White Mix of Gerbera's, Wild Flowers and Green Berries

Heather is another "adopted" daughter and it was my pleasure to preserve her bouquet. Heather put her own bouquet together, purchasing flowers the day before the wedding, and adding some wildflowers she found on the way to the wedding! Chocolate brown was the dominant color in her wedding and so that is the background color I used. I love the outcome!

White Rose, Lavendar Tulips and Decorative Grass

I consider Megan a daughter of mine. It was a pleasure to preserve her bridal bouquet as a wedding gift!

Gerbera Daisies, Roses, Delphinium

What made this piece so much fun is that I got to choose the flowers!!! This was a wedding present from the mother of the groom and I was told that they loved color, so I had the pleasure of going nuts with color! I love how it compliments the sunset behind them!

Pink, Fushia and White Rose Bridal Bouquet

This is a bridal bouquet of pink, fushia and white roses. I prefer to receive the flowers within 1-3 days of the event. The fresher the flowers, the better the outcome. Here is the original art and a close up of the roses after being pressed and framed.

Happy Valentines Day! In celebration of those I love...

Wednesday, February 11, 2009

My name is Annie Fentz!

One look around my home would tell you that my greatest passion is flowers. I've been studying flowers, growing them, playing with them and crafting with them, my entire life! I always found flowers to be such a beautiful display of God's glory. It would seem fitting then, that I would fall in love with the art of pressing and preserving flowers.

Pressed Garden was born in 2005 and since that time, I have had the privilege of preserving beautiful bridal bouquets and memorial flowers from the most wonderful people all over the United States! Thank you to all my customers and the floral shops that have recommended me, for trusting me with your most treasured flowers and for allowing me to turn them into cherished heirlooms! Thank you to my mentor, Cellestine, whose book, "Glorious Pressed Flower Projects" inspired me, and to the many fellow Pressed Flower Artists at the World Wide Pressed Flower Guild and around the world that have poured insight, creativity and encouragement into me. My hope is to give back all that the Lord has blessed me with!!!
