Roses, Calla Lillies, Alstromeria and Hypericum Berries

The Circus Roses in Stephanie's bouquet were intensely beautiful!
The White Calla's in the corner are the boutonniere.

Stephanie also opted for a Tear Drop Beveled Glass Ornament and a
Necklace made from one of her rose petals.

Pressed Flowers under Beveled Glass

These Beveled Glass Ornaments are about 2 1/2" tall and are finished off in the back with velvet.
They are often used as Christmas Ornaments or Little Pieces of Art in a Wall Grouping.
They come in heart, teardrop and balloon shapes!

Pansies Never Fail!

I thought I'd take a break from the Bridal and Memorial Art to post a simple and inexpensive craft idea! This is a 5x7 framed pressed flower art picture. I used pretty scrapbook paper and printed the Bible Verse using my printer. Then I arranged Fern, Sweet Alyssum, Pansies and Tendrils from Pea Plants...yes, the kind you eat! Pansies might be the easiest and most successful flower to press! Try it! Just tuck them into a phone book for about a week or two! Pansies are for sale in the Spring and again in the Fall, as they prefer cool weather. If you would rather not press your own flowers, there are many websites that sell flowers that are already pressed! C'mon! Try this! You can do this! :)

Lizianthus and Babies Breath

This Virginia Bridal Bouquet was all white/green and purple Lizianthus...very pretty.

Most flowers change color as they dry.
The purple Lizianthus becomes navy blue.

Karen opted to have the glass engraved with their names and wedding date.

Bridal Bouquet - Roses, Gerbera Daisies, Button Mums, Statice, Carnations

Sometimes the bouquets come in in less than perfect condition. This Ohio Bridal Bouquet was almost a week old, so it took some work to salvage as much as possible. I had to completely replace the roses.

The background is celery seed, a flecked sage...
and I think it compliments the flowers beautifully!

Gerbera Daisies, Peonies, Roses, Sea Holly, Orchids, Snapdragons, etc.

Natalie, of Indiana, died at the young age of 14. Her school honored her parents this May at what would have been her high school graduation. Her mother was presented with these flowers. The lower photo are rose petal necklaces and earrings for Natalie's mom and aunts.

Mix of Gerbera's, Alstromeria, Carnations, Roses, Babys Breath

These flowers were preserved in memory of a little 7 year old Indiana girl
using flowers from her funeral.
Her favorite colors were pink and yellow.
The funeral card was attached to the back of the picture.
Her photo was withheld to honor the privacy of the family.

Gerbera Daisies, Calla's, Orchids and Peacock Feathers!

I have come to expect the unexpected with Tara's floral artistry! This piece was no exception!
The Ohio bride chose a misty, slightly out-of-focus photo with her bouquet in the foreground.

I had such fun preserving Alecia's Bridal Bouquet into an oval frame!

This Ohio Bride also ordered 16 Tear Drop Beveled Glass Ornaments
to be given to the bridal party and relatives at Christmas!

Sunflowers, Gerbs, Roses, Berries & Blue Thistle

As you can see, this Indiana Bridal Bouquet was a burst of sunshine!
The butterfly was a memorial to a very special little girl in the bride and groom's life.
I love the colors in this piece!
