Brooke's Creative and Unique Bridal Bouquet ~*

Artichokes, Kale, Succulents, Silver Brunia, Eucalyptus Berries and Scabiosa Pods
were some of the unusual items in Brooke's Bridal Bouquet,
that you don't normally think of when you think of Pressed Flowers!

Brooke's Bridal Bouquet was a unique design of Kale, Purple and White Calla Lillies, Succulents, Dusty Miller Leaves, Freesia, Lizianthus, Silver Brunia and Scabiosa Pods!  Other flowers were added to her Pressed Flower Art from table bouquets and bridesmaids bouquets and included Artichoke, Goldenrod and other items!

in an 11"x14" Barnwood Frame!

Along the right side you can see a Double White Calla Lilly on top of a Dusty Miller Leaf.  This is actually the grooms boutonniere tucked into the design.

In this close-up shot, you can see the Artichokes and Succulents.
The Kale is in the background.

bits of flowers and leaves.

Kale Pendants!
Yes, you read that right, Kale Pendants!
The Kale Leaves pressed to a bright yellow and my brave,
creative bride wanted to see what would happen if I painted them teal!
So, I used some pastels and interestingly,
the veins picked up the most paint!
Unique, huh?

"We couldn't be more thankful to you for preserving our amazing, yet challenging, flowers! We loved our unique florals and now we get to look at them forever! Not to mention our family also gets to enjoy them with the gifts you made. We're so glad Crissalane told us about Pressed Garden."

This is one bouquet I will never forget.  Thank you, Brooke, for
trusting me with things I had never pressed before!
I had fun trying new techniques and learned that
Yes! Artichokes, Succulents and Kale CAN be pressed!
